Hello I’m looking for a sample to use as a dinner theater fundraiser.

  8. Looking to help out a friend with the resort she runs. I’d interested in samples of all your scripts so I can a basic idea of casting and number people needed. I run a professional theatre so, I’m trying to see what’s possible. When I was a professional actor I did many murder mysteries but it was many years ago and I no longer have the scripts. If this works, I may be coming to you for more scripts.

    • Hi Bill! The scripts are for 5 or 6 actors. One of the roles is always a dual role, so the victim comes back as the twin brother who either turns into the detective or another suspect. I will get those samples right out to you. They will come in 2 separate emails. Let me know if you have more questions : )

  9. I’d love to recieve some sample scripts. We have a few ladies and only one boy, anything in mind?

    • I’ll send you a sample of the Shootout Saloon to start. Gender of actors doesn’t matter to the plot or clues although there is always some kind of love interest in the scripts and of course jealousy can be a motive. Everything is treated with a light touch tho, so no one would be in an awkward position. As far as motives go, they only fall into a few categories so ‘passion’ is often one of them. Let me know what you think after checking out the script sample and if you have any other questions.

Hello, I am planning a murder mystery dinner for approx 100 guests. Does Shootout Saloon have an opportunity for audience participation? Would it be suitable for dinner?

      • Hi Tesha! Yes it does. Part of the ‘cocktail hour’ at the beginning, what the characters are mingling, is a simple ring toss game. It’s easy to set this up with stuff you have on hand. I use a toy horse and some bracelets but anything that can be tossed around something will work. The purpose of this game is because Rusty Spurs is looking for more horse thieves so he wants to suss out who might be good at lassoing horses.

Interaction can also happen when the characters ‘work the tables’ and chat with people. Also, there is a tiny part of the telegraph operator ‘Clack’ who can be picked out of the audience. They just have to read a few telegraphs. Easy peasy. I’ll send you out a script sample. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, the scripts are designed to be part of a dinner event. They don’t have to be, but they are written to be.
