The Murder Mystery Story Structure You’ve Never Heard Of

MURDER CAKE is more than a plotting technique. It’s a way of thinking about the murder mystery story structure, that can show you where you and the scene you just wrote are located in your story while helping you decide what you need to write next.

Understanding how the three layers of the Murder Cake, What Appeared to Happen, the Clues & Red Herrings and What Actually Happened, is the knowledge you need to build your unexpected surprise ending with on a solid foundation – instead of an unfounded last-minute twist appearing out of nowhere.

Knowing how these layers work together brings purpose to your clues and mastery to your misdirection. Your plot will be solid.

INCLUDES the very useful MISDIRECTION DIAGRAM and fifty-six pages packed with practical instructions.
